We are excited to announce that Sierra College Natural History Museum will be presenting its annual Dinosaur Day and Science Fest this May 1, 2022!

This is a fun festival for all ages, focusing on S.T.E.A.M. (science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics), education, and so much more.

Dinosaur Day 2022 will look a little different from years past, both logistically and in its overall spirit, due to the past two years of the pandemic.  Additionally, there is significant ongoing campus construction that we are working around. Currently, masks are encouraged but not required on Sierra College campuses, however SCNHM will follow the District health protocols as effective May 1, 2022, whatever they might be.  We appreciate your patience and understanding.

Truly, this year will be a “welcome back to the Museum”/community goodwill endeavor with the overarching goal of demonstrating the importance of science in our everyday lives.

The theme for 2022 is “Extinction: Rise of the Ice Age”. Think: mammoths, mastodons, the Pleistocene, saber- tooth cats, etc… We will still have lots of dinosaurs though—it is called Dinosaur Day after all!

We are allotting 3,000 total tickets this year, divided between two separate admission periods so as to allow for proper social distancing and more efficient crowd management. A sanitization break will be from 12:30pm-1pm so that event staff may clean and disinfect their booths.
